Contributor BiosDavid BrowerDavid Brower (1912-2000) was described as John Muir incarnate and likened to Thoreau. He was nominated twice for the Nobel Prize in recognition of his environmental leadership. He played a major role in preventing dams from being built in Dinosaur National Monument and the Grand Canyon, and in the formation of Redwoods, North Cascades and Kings Canyon national parks.
