Terry Tempest Williams
Terry Tempest Williams is an acclaimed author, naturalist, and nature writer. She may be best known for "Refuge: An Unnatural History of Family and Place" (Pantheon, 1991), but has also authored numerous other books, including two books for children, and numerous essays. She has been a naturalist at the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge and the Utah Museum of Natural History. Terry Tempest Williams was the recipient of the 2005 Wallace Stegner Award by the Center for the American West. Presently, she is the Shirley Sutton Thomas Visiting Professor of English at the University of Utah. She resides in Salt Lake City, Utah, with her husband Brooke.
